Basic knowledge of the stages of labour
basic knowledge of anatomy relevant to birth

We provide holistic foundation training in birth doula work with personalised mentoring and supervision. 

This course is as much about strengthening and transforming you, as it is about the very practical skills of doula work. 

NEW content added every 4 months for on-going professional and personal development, including meditation skills, breathing skills, yoga for doulas and more. 

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Throughout this foundations course you will learn:

  • Preparation for birth
  • Basic labour and birth education (note that this is not a birth education training course
  • The Uterus and Fear Tension Pain Syndrome
  • Working with Rites of Passage
  • Doula birth support
  • Developing the internal resources of your clients
  • Breathing, mindfulness, visualisation, affirmation
  • Developing and championing birth plans
  • Immediate post natal support
  • The ethics and business of doula work

DOULA (PERSONAL STUDY)

This course is for family, friends and interested people who wish to do doula training for personal reasons only. You will not be certified as a professional doula.

This training includes the doula basics for supporting your loved ones through birth.
It does not include client work, assessment, supervision and mentoring. It also does not include training on ethics, professional work and the doula business.

Full Birth Doula (Professional) Training including 1-1 online mentoring (3 hours) with Mirabai Rose

This study requires that the student does some initial pre-reading on the stages of labour and has a basic understanding of anatomy.
  • All inclusions of the Professional study plus:
  • Online 1.5 hour personal Breathwork session for deep personal growth, empowerment and/or healing
  • One hour personal Coaching on topic of choice or sacred debriefing of own previous birth or area of interest/concern
  • 2 year access to the course material with easy options for extension
  • Additional (paid) yearly membership options for on-going community support and learning (after the first 2 years)

The fee for this course includes access to the course material for an initial two years.
The course may be completed well before this time.

After two years of course membership, a small yearly membership fee will apply which includes continued access to the course, course extension where required, and also access to the community workshops and on-going learnings and events.

Throughout the year we will add FREE classes of interest including professional development and personal growth. Topics include ethics, communication, art, breath and yoga, doula wellness and more! 

Additional Extras

We will also offer additional (optional) workshops, group work, and private support on-going support at an additional fee at various times throughout the year.  Themes include working with trauma, group supervision, transpersonal work, bodywork, generational healing and more.

Mirabai has worked with women, people and couples for over 20 years. Mirabai leads Doula Training, Red Tent Circles, Birth Education, personal therapy sessions; and has supported a significant number of people through their pregnancy and birth journeys. Mirabai works in collaboration with Fey Rose to provide a training that is heart focused, professional and personally meaningful.
